Street Violence in Palmerston

Palmerston needs more police because of street violence? Ouch! Who would think we could drive down Temple Terrace and be set upon by a bunch of youths. What are the root issues here?
Is it:
* Lack of infrastucture to entertain, occupy, educate young people?
* Lack of community engagement with young people?
* Unstable family homes?
* Low self esteem?
* Family financial stress?
We don't want Palmerston to be an unsafe place. In the NT, the weather is balmy, and people want a relaxed lifestyle. We want to walk down the street at night, do our shopping and relax at home. Street violence in Palmerston is unacceptable.
