Price Rises Affecting Local Territorians

Will the price rises in the next financial year affect you much? With prices set to rise on electricity bills and water bills, NTCOSS say the most affected will be people already struggling to pay their bills. How much worse will it be for the average household that already struggles to pull the cash together to pay the power bill.

"What we're asking them [Government] to do is come up with strategies that don't impact on those who are most vulnerable in our community." Will the Pollies listen? Or will the gap between rich and poor just stretch a little further?

Close the gap is a campaign seeking to "close the gap" between the life expectancies of indigenous Australians and non-indigenous Australians. Financial stress, like increased power bills will not help the situation.

Air North are looking at flying planes between Bali and Darwin, following Garuda Indonesia's choice not to fly that route. Presently Jetstar are the only airline flying to and from Bali and Darwin. Keep an eye on the price of flights! We don't want a monopoly here.
