ANZAC Day yesterday was a significant day on the Australian Calendar. Palmerston saw an amazing crowd gather, both at the Dawn Service and the 10am service. It really hit me yesterday morning, as a lady came and placed a photo at the cross. I realised just in that moment, that ANZAC day was about loved ones, individuals who have families, and friends, and an opportunity to honour them together. Many have fought for this great country of Australia, and in Palmerston there are families who have soldiers who are overseas, or who have close relatives that lost their lives. Lest we forget.
