Palmerston is really like no other community in the fact that what is needed within it, is a strong, united community. Palmerston on the otherhand is unique in the fact that we have a particular demographic, we have many young families, we have Army personnel, the weather is different to any other part of Australia.
I like to consider how we can build stable, safe and effective community in Palmerston. We won't always agree on everything, and we won't always have the same outlook on life, but there is something special about living in a community that respects each other, that looks out for each other, and is a fun and safe place to live.
Community programs that help strengthen people's lives; helps.
Palmerston City Council that makes good, ethical decisions; helps.
Shopping Centres that foster community spirit; helps.
Churches that are inviting and inclusie; helps.
Schools that are safe, welcoming and teachable; helps.
Support for the broken and marginalised of our city; helps.
Financially investing in local commercial businesses; helps.
Good safety programs and strategies; helps.
Palmerston: The place to live? Lets build strong and effective community.

Palmerston Markets are on Again
Palmerston Markets be on again next Friday! April 24th, 5pm - 9pm. The Salvation Army will be running a FairTrade Stall, amongst many other groups in Goyder Square. The Palmerston Markets were apparently told by the Health Department that they don't need to provide Public Toilets for the Markets.
Well, I hope the relationship between the Palmerston City Council and the Palmerston Markets is still strong, for the benefit of the unity of this city, and its continued growth and development.
